- How did you get into comedy?
- I initially wanted to be a comedy actress, went to drama school, but a recession meant little work. A friend then suggested stand-up, and I was hooked from my first gig.
- Who did you admire when you were starting out?
- I've always admired French and Saunders. In stand-up, I admired circuit comics like Kerry Godliman, Tom Allen and Zoe Lyons, and later, Edinburgh festival performers such as James Acaster, Bridget Christie and Sara Pascoe.
- What inspired your show, Snappy, which is now streaming?
- My show, "Snappy," is about anxiety and parenting. It draws on my own experiences, like embarrassing myself in front of a Spice Girl or accidentally breaking into a flat.
