China launched its most advanced self-elevating and self-propelled offshore wind turbine installation vessel, the Tie Jian Feng Dian 2000. The vessel, capable of installing turbines in waters up to 80 meters deep, has a main crane lifting capacity of 2,000 tons. This significantly increases China's offshore wind power installation capacity by more than 1,400 megawatts annually.
