China, the world's largest green electricity producer and consumer, is actively promoting the global recognition of its green electricity certificates (GECs) to facilitate international trade and meet growing corporate demands for carbon footprint verification. As of January, 5.186 billion GECs were issued, with 3.529 billion tradeable, primarily used by manufacturing sectors like telecommunications and automotive.
